Temple Style Saru

Temple Style Saru: This Saru tastes just lyk the one served in temples in Karwar , Mangalore. Truly yummm .This recipe belongs to Sanjay Hegde from another group. I'm copy pasting Sanjay Hegde's recipe

Ingredients :


4 tomatoes
1tbs coriander seeds
1tbs toor dal
1tsp urad dal
1tsp pepper corns
1/4tsp methi seeds
5 dried red chillies
1tsp jerra
Tamrind
1tbs coconut
Curry leaves
Corriander leaves
Jaggery
Mustard seeds


Method:


Boil tomatoes and peel the skin and puree them.


Fry the Corriander seeds, jeera, pepper, chillies, coconut, urad dal, toor dal, methi seeds and curry leaves till you start smelling the aroma of the spices. 


Then grind them.


Pour the pureed tomato in a vessel and add the spice powder, Tamrind and let it boil. Add salt, Corriander leaf and jaggery and let it boil some more. 

Later season it with mustard and curry leaf.
