Shahi bread tukda

Shahi bread tukda .....ready to serve ....

Recipe -


Ingredients :
Bread slices (cut one slice into four )-6 no.
Milk-1/2 litre
Ghee (for frying )
Sugar -(as pr taste )
Cardamom powder
Saffron threads
Silver leaf (optinal)

For garnish
Sliced almonds, cashews n pistachios


Process :

In a large non stick pan fry the bread pieces in ghee till golden brown .Then another saucepan at medium flame add milk ,cook for 20 minutes .
Meanwhile add saffron with little hot milk in a small katori n keep it aside .
On otherside prepare the sugar syrup ,add pinchful of cardamom powder to it . Don't make thick syrup .
 

After 20minutes as the milk thickens add saffron milk in it n a little sugar .
Arrange the fried bread slices on a plate .
Pour sugar syrup over it ,allow the bread to soak up the syrup .
 

Then pour the milk over the bread ,allow the bread to soak up the milk . Leave it for 15-20 minutes .
 

Garnish with slices of almonds ,cashews n pistachios .
You can serve it hot / cold .......enjoy
